I forget their names, but they're pretty good- DM me if you want me to do some sleuthing for their names.Wokcano founder Marcus Kwan quickly converted Downtown’s Spear Steakhouse into its newest iteration, Kues Modern Asian Bistro & Bar October 29. They're good- don't know if they're the "best" but they're pretty good. Lastly, I'll tentatively suggest several dim sum places up in Northeast Philly that my parents go to semi-regularly, a couple places along Bustleton Avenue. There's this place called Canton 11 in Chinatown too, and while I've only been once, I was left with a pretty good impression of one of those over-the-top Hong Kong teahouses. It doesn't have the same vibe or variety as Ocean Harbor (when I went last time it was filled mostly with white people lol), but the food is excellent. I personally think it is very authentic with all the carts and stuff (and rude people from what I hear), and it has the egg tarts and those deep-fried taro things I like.Īnother place I would recommend is Nom Wah, because while they don't have carts, (from my understanding) the dim sum is made a-la-cart and therefore very fresh. It's very good for say, soup dumplings and the like, but if you want chicken feet/turnip cake/etc., I would recommend another place.įrom both my personal experience and what I've heard, I would suggest Ocean Harbor for dim sum, the place right across the street. Well, the thing about Dim Sum Garden is that it's more of a Shanghainese dim sum place than a Cantonese dim sum place. ![]()
